They are "The Recovery of Regenerate Church Membership" and "The Renewed Exercise of Biblical Church Discipline."

I don't intend to define these points here; if you're reading this blog, chances are you know what is meant by these phrases, Vermox australia. Instead, Vermox overseas, I want to consider why it is that it is taken for granted that "recovery" and "renewal" are needed, rather than, say, 750mg Vermox, "continuation" or "maintenance."

I remember looking through the minutes from business meetings at the first church where I served on staff, 40mg Vermox, a little church in Thackerville, Oklahoma. It is easy to say, but until we trust God more than we fear men, many of these issues will go unresolved.

In the computer software industry, this same practice with software standards is called "embrace and extend", which one particular software monopoly is infamous for. History is replete with examples of words that once meant something to only be morphed into something analogous and sometimes disparate. A recent example is the word evangelical. I believe that several words are being co-opted in this movement, such as conservative and inerrant. Being irenic apparently necessitates the acceptance of those that do believe and practice what is being published (and commented by those that are a part of the irenic) on the blogs. Once you have immersed yourself in the blogs, certain conclusions are unavoidable:

  • Several of the reformers are anything but irenic (in the dictionary sense of the word).
  
  
  • Undermining those in authority is considered acceptable and common place.
  
  
  • Gossip is not confined to the local church but is blogged to a lost and dying world.
  
  
  • Posting an emoticon (like ":)" or ":D") makes it OK to be acerbic and invidious while twisting the proverbial knife in the backs of the non-irenic.
  
  
  • It appears that animosity towards Dr. Paige Patterson and an aversion to anything for which he is associated is the propellant that fuels some of the irenic.
  
  
  • Attacks against a man's wife (Dr. Patterson) though reprehensible and repugnant, Norvasc us, seem to be done with such perverse delight by some of the irenic.
  
  
  • These "reformers" are quick to remove the speck in other's eyes, but do not see the log in their own eyes.
  
  
  
  

In light of beliefs and practices of the Irenic Reformers, we need to wake up our Baptist brothers and sisters in Christ and sound the clarion call to once again, stand up, get organized and fight for the convention to remain true to God's Word. This time it is not just the inerrancy of the Word of God that we must defend, but the sufficiency of it as well. We must also defend what we as Baptists have understood what it means to be a Baptist, buy Norvasc Over The Counter. Who would have thought that Baptists would have to defend biblical baptism within our own convention.

The Irenic Reformation appears to be nothing other than an attempt to undo the CR using technology (blogs and blackberry's) as a tool, but employing an age old tactic: the politics of personal destruction. If you can not win on the issues, attack any and all who stand in the way. Again, I do not want to paint all with a broad brush, as some who agree with the irenic have been most kind and Christ like in their comments and actions. Those that have been the most vociferous mistakenly believe that if they take down the leader of the CR, the whole resurgence will fall. How naïve of them. Despite their prating, the CR is not tied to any person, though we are most grateful to all who led the battle for the Bible. The CR is the belief in the inerrancy and sufficiency of the Holy Scripture to guide us in all matters, not the one who led it. I must humbly stand in opposition to a movement that would seek to strip Southern Baptists of their historic identity and do it in a manner that is more reminiscent of Absalom and Diotrephes than of Christ, the Apostles, and our Baptist forefathers. Those that have bled and burned for that heritage deserve so much more from us.

Wake up, Stand Firm, and be Vigilant.

The "Outpost Team" (Motto: No RX Flovent, All the News that's Fit to Malign, Impugn, and Ridicule) has posted today, as a "service to [their] readers," a list of links to blogs that have commented on the homemaking concentration being offered by The College at Southwestern.

Discount Hormone

Discount Hormone, Recently, I felt compelled to do a little bit of research on the origin and meaning of the word "endorse." The title of this post is the Anglo-French word from which the English word is derived, and it apparently has as its most literal meaning "to write on the back of."

This makes sense when one thinks about the word "dorsal," describing the back of something, and most commonly the fin on the back of a fish. I thought it might be helpful to share a little about what I've learned about the meaning and significance of this word, 10mg Hormone, Hormone japan, because I would expect that in short order we will hear, from some defenders of SBCOutpost, Hormone canada, assertions of how little those endorsements mean, and condescending statements to the effect that they should not be taken as an approval of everything posted there. As a public service, I've come up with a little exercise* that will help us all. The image in this post is of a check. It is made out for $1,000, and the "Pay to the order of" line is blank. Print that check out, write your own name on that blank line, endorse it, and cash it at the nearest branch of your bank. Then in a couple of days, when the bank calls to demand that you pay them $1,000 because the check was phony (assuming they don't laugh in your face to begin with), tell them that just because you "wrote on the back" of that check doesn't mean you were standing behind what was on the front of it. This will be a lesson you will not soon forget.

In this quote, Wade Burleson suggests that a parallel exists between the anger directed toward him by a fellow IMB trustee and the anger displayed by those involved in cults or dysfunctional families toward the one who reports the abuse taking place. In a comment on Robin's post, Petcam uk, Wade attempts to suggest that his analogy was an attempt to illustrate the reaction of the person who began the comment thread, but reading the remarks in context causes me to doubt that assertion. Petcam mexico, I was immediately struck by the continuation of a pattern exhibited by Wade whereby he will say something that can only be taken as a broad swipe at his fellow trustees, and then express shock when those statements are perceived by some as "gossip and slander."

I left a comment on Robin's post pointing out this pattern, and was soon (and not so gently) challenged to provide "one - and I mean just one - example" of this pattern. This post, 50mg Petcam, with quotes and links below, are my attempt to meet that challenge. Let the reader judge:

[UPDATE: Spiritual abuse is a serious subject, and in this post, Wade shares highlights from a friends book on the subject. It seems to me that one would have to be incredibly naive in order to believe that there was no application to the IMB trustees intended, especially in light of the quotes above.
