No RX Indometacin

No RX Indometacin, I'm sure you will hear this morning's address from Dr. Chapman spun in a number of different directions, 250mg Indometacin, Indometacin mexico, so I thought I would offer my spin as well.

I heard two very significant things said by Dr, Indometacin japan. 30mg Indometacin, Chapman:

  1. His recommendations apply only to the confessions of faith required of entity employees.

  2. His recommendations would in no way hamper the ability of trustees to govern their entities.

I'm curious about the effect this recommendation would have on the Abstract of Principles, agreement with which is required of professors at SBTS and SEBTS, 150mg Indometacin. 500mg Indometacin. Wes,

Here are the pertinent excerpts from the sermon as noted from BP:

“Revising the Baptist Faith and Message should not be lightly regarded nor should our confessional statement be revised year after year. However, if we believe a doctrine is a part of the core belief system of Southern Baptists, it should be in the Baptist Faith and Message. Only a very few years ago it seemed sufficient for all missionaries and Convention leaders to sign the Baptist Faith and Message as a statement of loyalty to Christ and to the Convention. Now other doctrines are beginning to be required aside from our adopted confession. It causes one to ask, ‘Where does it end?’ Let me propose two suggestions for future consideration:

“Any practice instituted by an entity in the Southern Baptist Convention that has the force of doctrine should be in accord with the Baptist Faith and Message and not exceed its boundaries unless and until it has been approved by the Southern Baptist Convention.

“And secondly, if an entity of the Southern Baptist Convention adopts a confession of faith separate and distinct from the Baptist Faith and Message and it includes a doctrine unsupported by our confessional statement, the entity should request approval from the Convention prior to including the doctrine in its confession.

In other words (with a real world example): If these two proposals had the effect of a Convention bylaw, then the IMB policies could not take effect until they had Convention approval. This in no way effects individual churches and thier convictions (with their messengers or representatives on boards and agencies, including students at the various schools) nor does it affect the governance of the entities. What it does affirm is that Dr. Chapman is fully on board with this radical notion: that in the area of doctrinal suitability of employees of the SBC, the Convention alone through it’s messengers makes the final call on what is acceptable through their statement of consensus called the BF&M. If any agency wants to interpret, modify, or expand the doctrinal suitability of their employees that goes beyond, modifies, or overly interprets the BF&M, then they need to go to the Convention which is the body that decides upon doctrinal consensus. What Dr. Chapman has re-emphasized is the baptistic model of congregationlism, upsurping the modern tendancy of the entities which have subverted to the mega-church model of the preysberty. I believe that this is good for the Convention. Do you disagree?

    Wes,

I enjoyed having dinner with you, Robin, and Tim last evening. I don’t remember what you were eating but did it affect your mind? I don’t think we heard the same things in Dr. Chapman’s great speech. :)

    No spin, just truth.

    Les
